
Applying to College
On Thursday, May 7th you are invited to attend the presentation
"Navigating the College Application Process"
with College and Career Center Coordinator.

Here are the links that may be helpful to you while working on college applications:
Student Organizer - Make a copy of this form and use it to organize your personal information. You can also use it to send to teachers and counselors that you ask for a letter of recommendation.
OR
Student Information Form - Your Student Information Form is necessary for helping teachers and counselors to write a robust and accurate letter of recommendation for you. When you fill out this form, you will receive an email copy of the answers. You can forward this email to teachers who are writing your letters of recommendation.
Register for the SAT - You will use College Board to register for the SAT.
OR Register for the ACT - No need to take both.
Common App - You can create your profile at any time, but don't add any college information until after Aug 1!

Letters of Recommendation - You will want to follow these guidelines for requesting letters of recommendation.
Students applying to four-year colleges and universities must request transcripts and letters of recommendation through Naviance. You can find the steps on how to use Naviance on this slide deck.
Financial Aid
FAFSA The Free Application for Federal Student Aid - United States citizens and eligible noncitizens should submit the FAFSA.
ORSA Oregon Student Aid Application - Oregon residents who have undocumented status, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) status, Temporary Protected Status (TPS), or a valid U-visa should submit the ORSAA.
CSS Profile - College Scholarship Service - Provides a more detailed, in-depth view of a family's financial situation compared to the FAFSA, including assets, income, and special circumstances. Required for institutional aid at elite/private institutions.
